Anyone who knows me will agree that I’m always looking for the next project/challenge, and with an 8 month old son it is becoming harder to find the time around looking after him. So, what better motivation than to join #the100dayproject by The Great Discontent and Elle Luna¬†on instagram. In a nutshell it involves a 100 days of creativity, with my aim to be inspired and get my mojo back, as well as giving me the opportunity to try new and old techniques by choosing from a selection of materials and themes I’ve written on lolly sticks to kick-start each day. It’s that simple!

Here is my first day, and a big challenge to start with as I decided to combine a request for an illustration of Leeds Town Hall with my ‘spaces and places’ theme, which was no small feat in this style. I only managed to get the draft version done, which I will then sketch over before scanning and adding colour but it felt like a good achievement for a sketch I have re-started twice already. Let’s hope tomorrow picks a quicker idea…

Is anyone else joining me?
