More sketching for day 72, and although I’m sticking with a Yorkshire theme I thought I’d choose a coastal location to coincide with the seaside theme of July’s Just Makers at RHS Harlow Carr. Whitby has to be one of the quaintest seaside towns, and although the steps don’t appeal the views are worth it. One of the most iconic views has to be that of the Abbey on the East through the whalebone on the West Cliff. This initial draft has plenty more work needed to get the proportions right, and to make the view in the distance smaller but I’m reasonably happy with the composition.
