Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. We had a fairly quiet day at my parents, and although Harry is still too young to understand Christmas I still insisted on making him some Christmas PJs, dungarees, top and slippers for Christmas Day and of course the obligatory Christmas bib. I didn’t quite find the time to make my dress as I was finishing making pressies on Christmas Eve so I used one I made for the Etsy Made Local event (I’ll blog about that in the next few days.)

As we sit here on Boxing Day with a surplus of homemade food, including this pesto Christmas tree (definitely worth trying) after my in-laws had to turn back part way into their journey over from Manchester, I am very grateful that our house is still standing and not under water like many in the local area. It’s devastating to see not only homes but many businesses in the area flooded, and makes me ever more grateful for how lucky I am.
