Well a short visit to my family in Poland was never going to be a holiday, too many people to see and unbeknown to me until I arrived too many paintings to paint! I love spending time with my family, especially my god-daughter so when given about 5 canvases and some paint I don’t mind sitting in the sunshine and being creative, even if every person watching is my biggest critic.  So day 1 was 2 paintings of Marilyn Monroe for my gorgeous god-daughter Karolinka and a spider on the wall of my god-daughter’s little brother, Lukasz… day 2 was an abstract painting for my uncle, which I’m not too keen on but it was what he wanted… and today, day 3 a scorpion on canvas for Lukasz.

Time now to go and stay with friends for a day before heading back to London on Sunday… short but sweet, and probably enough for my boyfriend’s first visit to meet my extensive family!
